Bug: Search Fields showing in Bible Search
I was investigating the application of the Surface Text field to a Bible Search:
- God's Word Translation - not present (it has no fields)
- NCV - not present, but General Note, Heading Text, Verse Number are doubtful.
- Bible General Note "God" @ Gen 46:1-3
- Bible Heading Text "God" in NT
- no examples for Verse Number, whatever that means.
- REB - not present (but it has Heading Text ---> reported as a Typo for "God" @ Acts 1:3)
- Good News - not present (but it has Heading Text ---> reported as Typo for "God" @ Ezek 1:28)
- KJV (AV) - not present
- ISV - not present
- AV 1873 - present
- NABRE - present
- NLT - present
Surface Text is present for the last three bibles, which happen to have a reverse interlinear, whilst the others do not. Is this pattern consistent?

Yes. The actual Bibles are not marked with the Surface Text field. Instead, they use the Bible Text field, which is a direct equivalent to Surface Text. The Surface Text field is coming from the reverse interlinear data. I'm not completely sure, but it is most likely equivalent to the Bible Text field, although under the hood, the search engine will go looking for the results in the reverse interlinear resource rather than in the index built from the Bible resource.

I would say so as I have never used the field for a word search. When applied, no results are returned from a query for the underlying data (lemma, LN, Strong's, etc).
Did you pass on the errors that I noted, and could you explain the use of the Verse Number field?

Right. I wouldn't expect it to.

The Verse Number field is applied to the verse number. I'm not sure of the value of this field in the UI, as I don't think that text with this field is actually indexed.
I can see that bad heading tagging in Acts in The Revised English Bible (LLS:REB), but I can't see a problem in either The Good News Translation with Apocrypha (LLS:GNT) or The Good News Translation (LLS:1.0.160) in Ezekiel. Both appear to properly have a heading at that location.
I'll report the problem in the REB.

That heading, "God Calls Ezekiel to Be a Prophet", is also tagged as Bible Text
- NCV - not present, but General Note, Heading Text, Verse Number are doubtful.
- Bible General Note "God" @ Gen 46:1-3
- Bible Heading Text "God" in NT
5 occurrences of God are tagged as Bible Text and General Note at Gen 46:1-3
I couldn't find any genuine General Notes
19 occurrences of God are tagged as Bible Text and Heading Text in the NT
