I want to find all instances of Jesus being the subject of praying.
Performing a Clause search results in a nice list of hits, but it does not include a verse like Heb. 5:7 (see screenshot).
I understand why Heb. 5:7 is not included, since it does not use the verb pray, but the object 'prayers' / 'requests' (δεήσεις) with a verb of offering (προσενέγκας).
Questions:
- How can we modify our Clause Search to include Heb. 5:7?
For example, I tried the query subject:jesus AND (verb:pray OR object:prayer) but that rendered no results at all (is that because the subject in Heb. 5:7 is a relative pronoun, which then should be tagged as Jesus, right?)
- In general: the Clause Search searches the Greek / Hebrew source texts, but the lemma's we search for are in English. How does that work?
