Creating Outlines Through the Scriptures
I am wanting to set up a layout in Logos that will allow me to read through a book of the bible and create simple Outlines on small portions of scripture as I go. Does anyone have a saved layout like this that they could share here? Any tips on how you use it would be great also. Thanks!

In what tool or external app do you want to create your outlines?

I was think probably in the notes tool.

A Personal Book (PB) of type Bible Notes would be more flexible if considering many small portions of scripture. You can use this in the Passage Guide Commentaries section alongside your regular commentaries. You can choose the milestones that suit your outline e.g. a range of verses or a chapter.

That is true, but I have used notes and found them quite satisfactory ... and the linkage by reference is nearly automatic - select/create note.

Just wanted to thank both of you, I will probably try both and see what I like.

As one who preaches from a detailed outline. I think the Sermon document is a good solution. You can label with 5 levels of heading, plus blockquotes and/or reference blocks and or normal text. Hint: must put the book before a verse range if you want it to hotlink.

You can use Notes or Sermon Builder or Personal Books.... I have used all 3.
Notes and Sermon Builder can be used in the mobile app... Personal Books cannot. Important point to keep in mind.
But if I want all my outlines together in one place and maybe separted by Book and Chapter.. Then I would suggest you make a MS Word docx... then build your Personal Book from that and maintain all future outline updates in the MS Word docx file. Then just rebuild your Personal Book.
