BUG: "On" is treated as "Memphis" in the Information Tool. What's THAT all about?
When I open the Information sidebar and click on the word "On" at the beginning of John 2:1, the Information sidebar pops up with the word and definition for "Memphis." This happens with the NET Bible, the NRSV, and the NIV.
What's going on?
It also happens with the word "on" in John 1:29 and John 1:32, as well as Luke 15:22. I assume it happens with every instance of the word "on."
Is "On" a term for "Memphis" that Logos mistakenly tags every instance of the word "on" with?
I drew an arrow on the image to represent my mouse clicking on the word.

Apparently On was the Hebrew name for Heliopolis but that doesn't explain this.

I'd think the answer is in the names dictionary index.0

The city of Memphis is listed in our data with an alternate title of "On", which might be why this is showing up (notice the list of alternate titles in the description on the Factbook page).
That said, that might be an incorrect title, so I've asked our content team to take a look.
I've also created a case to investigate whether or not it's appropriate for this entry to have shown up, even if it is an appropriate alternate title for that city. It's possible there is another issue that would affect other information lookups.

Thanks!! I had looked online to see if “on” was another name for Memphis, but I was unable to find any support for that.

According to Anchor Yale and New Interpreter's (and the Factbook itself), On=Heliopolis (a city in Egypt). See the Lookup info on Ezekiel 30:17.

Memphis and Heliopolis appear not to have been the same cities.
Correct. What resource is that map from?
