Can’t find settings for original word look up

Hello,

I recently started using the Logos mobile app, on my dad’s recommendation. He is able to touch any word and see the original spelling, a definition, and the Stongs number. I am unable to see this, despite checking that all the resources and settings are the same as my dad’s. (At least every setting we could find.) Does anyone have insight into how I can access this resource? A screenshot from his phone is attached, for reference..

Thanks,

Anne

Anne, the results can vary depending on which Bible you use and what you have in your library.

Just as an experiment, try the following:

    1. Open the app.
    2. Open the Lexham English Bible, then tap on the screen to show the top/bottom controls.
    3. Tap on the three-dot Panel icon at the top right.
    4. Choose “View Settings”.
    5. Make sure that the box is checked in front of “Automatic word lookup”.
    6. Try long-pressing a few different words in the Lexham English Bible.  Do you now see results similar to the screenshot you posted?

Thank you, Joe! I was able to get similar content just by using the Lexham English Bible. (The automatic word lookup was already on.) This is a sufficient solution for my purposes, though I am still curious about why I am not be able to access it through ESV, as my dad can.

The answer: He owns it and you do not. The app is free, some of the resources are "free to use, but pay to own." For full functionality, you will need to own certain resources and features.
