Period After Double Space

I am used to the mac shortcut of the double space which adds the period at the end of the sentence. Why doesn't Logos recognize this shortcut? Who can I suggest this to?

  You can add any feature suggestions to the relevant feedback board (all boards are at https://feedback.faithlife.com), in this case Logos Desktop App.
