5 Day Bible Reading Program Not Working

I started the new 5 day program in 2022 as I have the last several years, but for some reason it is going 7 days a week through September rather than 5 days a week through the end of the year.  This has never happened before.  I don't seem to be able to edit or change the program, and would appreciate help.  Thanks!

Please help us understand where this Plan comes from so that we can diagnose the issue.

More information as Dave has requested will be enable you to get help but my initial thought is whether when setting up the plan you had every day of the week selected or you reduced the number of days to occur on 5 days only e.g. MON-FRI while excluding SAT & SUN.

Under docs, I choose new, then reading plan, then choose 5 day.  I did this at the beginning of the year like I do every year, and it usually sets up a schedule for weekdays only.  This time it just picked consecutive days, and when I went to edit, changing to weekdays was not one of the options.  I went back, created a new plan which populated correctly, and deleted the old one.  I edited for a new start date of 1/3/2022.  That solved it.

While I enjoy the resources available on Logos, the interface is very difficult and non-intuitive.  Even simple tasks like this are quite difficult.  My son refers to this as 'lost in the sauce'.  So at this point I use this very expensive program just for certain resources I have accumulated over the years (going back to Libronix) as well as the reading plan.

Thanks for chiming in, and God bless you.

Not sure quite what happened here. I just went through the steps you mentioned and it created a 5-day reading plan omitting weekends - I did need to set it so that it started on a Monday, but it seems to work fine for me. What version of Logos are you on?

This time it just picked consecutive days, and when I went to edit, changing to weekdays was not one of the options.

I can't recreate this as I don't have a plan that was started last year (I artificially created a plan that finished today but I could start a new 5 day plan whenever I chose).

I went back, created a new plan which populated correctly, and deleted the old one.  I edited for a new start date of 1/3/2022.  That solved it.

The option "every day" is  misleading, but it is the default. If you start the Plan on a day other than Monday, the readings will go into the weekend, but it is a 5 day Plan (with 2 days of rest). Starting Monday, Jan 3 ensures that the weekends are skipped.

If you change the option to "every weekday" the readings will skip the 2 day weekend. If you start on a Wednesday the first week will be 3 days (Wed to Friday) but thereafter it will be Monday to Friday. If you try to start on Saturday, Jan 1 the readings will commence on Monday the 3rd!
