Sharing sermons

I am a co-pastor of our church and I'd like to be able to share and collaborate on my sermons with the other co-pastor. I have created a group in Faithlife for just the two of us and shared the sermon produced in Logos there, but there doesn't seem to be any easy way for him to open it, and/or edit it.

    Hi Pat

Can your co-pastor see the sermon you have shared?

If so, he should be able to right-click it and add it to his docs.

If that doesn't work, please let me know and I'll look into it further

He was able to see it and add it to his documents. But when he did that, the document changed the speaker from me to him and the auto-publish button was checked so it published the sermon to sermons.faithlife.com.

That seems strange - but I don't know if it is intended behaviour.

I'm afraid I don't have things setup to test / explore that further. Hopefully someone else will be able to comment / advise.

    Pat,

What version of Logos desktop are you and your co-pastor on?

We have a fix coming out in Logos 9.11 that will make it to where if the sermon document is shared and the auto-publish button was unchecked when sharing, the auto-publish button won't be automatically checked when the second person opens the sermon.

As far as having the document change the speaker name from you to him... that one is a bit more puzzling as that wasn't the case in several rounds of internal testing we did earlier today.  We will continue to do some testing on this though and prioritize a fix for it at a later time.
