Hi all, just want to say if you are still getting to grips with Logos 9. John Fallahee's training from Learn Logos for Logos 9 is simply awesome.  He has almost finished completing the whole training series. But a quick add up of all the training puts it in at over 40hours of training .   I ordered the new features version at $55 so that is pretty much a $1 for an hours worth of training!!

I don't work for John, I don't even live in the same country as John, but when you see great training at a great price it would be rude not to share the 'good news'!!

Hoping this blesses somone on the forum.

I know that we often point people to training but this may go past the guidelines - I'm not sure.

I am happy to be advised - and remove the post if it contravenes any of the guidelines. Any other thoughts?

No, I'll leave it to others to decide. Like I said, it's borderline and I don't know what FL would want to do ... I suspect they'll just leave it.

Thanks for your advice. My guess is that the better trained Logos users are the more Logos resources they buy so in the longer term trained Logos users are a benefit to the FL business!

It might not be widely-known that Faithlife has a business relationship with Morris Proctor's training company, i.e., sells his products, does cross-promotions, MP provides the free (but valuable) Quickstart video tutorials. That would be the borderline part of #4, sub point 2.

I'm just surprised at #5, followed by #6.   I think before anyone answers a query, they first should check (#6) if the poster has complied with #5.

So, James ... did you first check to see if anyone else had also benefitted from that great XXXXX (#4) training you experienced, at $55 or about a dollar per hour, and easily available at XXXX (#4).

More seriously, as you say, a trained Logosian is a happy Logosian!

I have periodically put in a good word for Fallahee‘s excellent training on how to use Logos. I expect to do so more in days to come.  John got me “over the hump” which led to my rather immense buy in and use of Logos. It also led to my spreading the word about Logos and guiding people how to make Logos worth buying—where to get comprehensive training. I also found Fallhee a great initial guide in finding best resources to add to Logos. I’m equally a fan of Morris Proctor. MP is expensive, which not everyone can afford (especially after a big Logos purchase), but his training is extremely good and well worth the price.

I am not sure what was wrong with the OP. I find it to be spot on, how these forums are best used.

I sometimes subscribe to learnlogos for a couple months, but surmised it was best not to talk about it here, since no one was talking about it. I did not know exactly which rule it broke, but now I do. MP is the official training. Good to know.

Some of the oldest seminars are the most helpful to me. They were written before the Logos features were added that I cannot afford to purchase. Subscribers get free access to some of that older stuff.

I also learned quite a bit from the seminar on writing academic papers. I watched the newer one. I think a 3rd edition is being prepared.

I'm just a broke student trying to learn as much as I can as fast as I can. A two month subscription, once a year, is all I can afford before I have to cancel and rely on youtube for the rest of the year.
