I'm getting a repeatable crash in Logos 9.9. (For why I'm not on Logos 9.10, see: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/205092.aspx.)

Steps to reproduce:

1. Click Print/Export on a resource (it's happening on multiple resources for me)

2. Select a (real) printer other than the default (real) printer that initially appears (it doesn't crash if I leave it on the default printer that initially appears)

3. Click the "Properties" link

Logos freezes for a couple of seconds and then crashes. It's happened half a dozen times for me tonight.

Logs attached - I see the crash and exception at the end of the file. Thanks,

Donnie Hale

Cannot reproduce, so it is connected with your printer. Try again after you upgrade to Logos 9.10.

OK - I upgraded to 9.10.0.0017, verified in the "About" screen.

I'm still getting the same crash via the repro steps I originally posted.

It is a somewhat newly-installed printer (~2 months). But it's working from any other app I use on my computer to print to it.

Ensure you have the latest Printer driver (no need to update its features) from the manufacturer. If that fails you may have to Export and then Print.

I really appreciate Dave's input. I'll likely have to export to a document then print that.

But could someone from Faithlife comment on the crash, in particular since the log file captures the stack trace.

    Thanks much!

Probably unrelated, but I had a similar problem when I upgraded to Win11. My local printer worked in all my other programs, but not in Logos (and Logos could print to a network printer, but not the local one). I refreshed the printer driver and now my local printer works in all programs (including L9)

    Thanks for the reply.

As far as I can tell, I'm on the latest printer driver - I'm on the vendor's site looking at the date of the drivers / downloads.

My printer is "local" in the sense that the "port" is a Standard TCP/IP Port, configured locally. It's "network" in the sense that the print jobs are sent to the printer over tcp/ip.

I'm not sure what else I can do.

    Thanks again,

    Donnie

Did you compare it with the date of your driver? Download the latest one and try to install it.
