Android 7 Samsung tablet 3gig ram 128gig ssd what app would be best to use
Hi
As logos won't be supporting Android 7.0
I am looking for an alternative app on the play store
There are so many to choose from lots of different apps with different functionality
Could anybody suggest any of their favourite alternative
Sorry this is no off Topic but I need to find something else that would work on my tablet
Appreciate any pointers on searching for my alternative android app
Thanks
Mick

You never did answer my question in the previous thread... Are you unable to update to 7.1.1? If that is the case, then you can still run the app, but you won't be able to receive updates.
If that isn't an option, you can use the web app.
There are other apps, but your two posts seem to indicate that you upset because of the discontinued support. As time moves on, less and less apps will support the outdated OS. If you jump ship and buy resources elsewhere (which you indicated), you could also just purchase a new device and continue to use the resources you have in Logos. It would not be wise to make purchases on another platform just to have that platform also discontinue support for an outdated OS.
Requesting alternatives in the Logos forums probably goes against the guidelines.

Hi
I understand time moves on, l am upset only about the wast of good technology devices which have plenty life left in them,
I can not update android to 7.1
All the apps I use none of them have ceased to be supported
Recycling technology, is a must , make a version of the app which will continue to run on a older device but don't add new features or reduce the existing features . all businesses should be mindful of waste ,
I think you know what devices people use as it's on logos customers accounts.so would it be best to to say to people don't purchase any more resources as you will not get the best out of them ,based on your current device on your logos account
Some features will not be supported and may not work, why not remove those new features and keep a stable version for older devices .why doesn't logos become more greener company
And think about your existing customers, how will people in the future be able to use your software
There is a world shortage of electronic chips CPUs and other components
The web app does not work very well on tablets

I don’t work for FL. It is my understanding that they do know generally what devices are being used, but perhaps not specifically per user which device. In any case, Android 7 will turn 7 years old in March. The ability to provide updates and security patches will be hindered by maintaining compatibility with older versions of Android. As has already been mentioned, you can still use your device… it just won’t receive updates. At some point the app might stop working… but so might your device.

only a small segment of our users are still running our applications using Android 7.0 devices.
It doesn't seem like it's going to be a problem for most users.
Some features will not be supported and may not work, why not remove those new features and keep a stable version for older devices
Our services are signed with certificates from Let’s Encrypt. On September 30th, those certificates stopped being trusted on older platforms (Android 7.0). We've implemented a change to work around this issue to the best of our ability on these old devices. However, some functionality is still impaired (Clippings sync).
Clippings sync is not a new feature. The problem is not a matter of Android 7 being incapable of handling new features.
