Creating a Workflow textbox

I am trying to create my own WORKFLOW, but when I ADD an option for "Expandable Text" or "Text" the textbox displays in the Workflow editor; but when I actually use the Workflow, no textboxes are displayed.  I expect I am missing a step - but I can find nothing in the documentation that suggests what I am missing.  Thank you for any help.

Blessings,
Floyd

Hm, long time since I used the WF editor. But just making sure: you did put text inside the text box, did you?

No - but I thought the text box was for the user to use. At least that seems to be the practice for the provided Workflows.  I'll try adding text before saving to see if that helps.

I would have thought that the Question/Answer fields are for user input, the two you mentioned for information to the user.

IIRC expandable text is text that is optional for the user to read - the sort of information that is used the first time or two through the workflow. Text is text that is shown every time the worflow is used. Question and answer combined two elements - one asks a question or indicates what the user is to enter, the second is a text box for user entry.
