Remove highlighting icon missing
I am unable to remove the highlights (I'm using Windows 10). The "remove highlighting icon" is missing. Besides, the system shows no response after I pressed the "Erase" button or "ctrl+shift+K". Is there anything wrong with the system?

Welcome to the forums! [:)] Sorry you are having troubles. [:s]
The "remove highlighting icon" is missing
My first thought is that you are trying to delete a highlight in one bible (i.e. ESV) when you took the highlighting note in another (i.e. NIV). If that is the case, you will have to delete the note in the original source.
Is that the case? If not, some screenshots might help.

Thanks, JT. I think the problem takes place after I have applied different highlights in one verse/passage. As you may note from the screenshots below: There is no in the first picture (with multiple highlights), but one in the second one (with only one highlight).
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Stephanie
It looks as though the issue is related to using the Multiple Resource View.
From your screenshot you open the Net Bible Notes resource and then added the Net Bible to it (using Multiple Resource View). It appears that in this mode (so a subordinate resource in Multiple Resource view) you can't delete highlights (I wasn't aware of this limitation)
If you open the Net Bible resource in a separate panel you should be able to delete the highlights.
Give it a go and let us know whether it works

PS: And when posting screenshots, please use the paperclip icon in the forum editor - that way the screenshots appear within the post itself which makes it easier to see what is going on

Thanks, Graham,
Yes, it works! I closed all the panels and open Net Bible again. Now I am able to remove the multiple highlights. I then tried using the previous layout and add Net Bible resource. I could then modify the highlights even under Net Bible Notes subordinate resource. Thanks a lot!

I'm not sure of the terminology, but I think I'm using a multiple resource view. That is, I have opened multiple books and saved them in a layout in my desktop version.
For the benefit of future readers, I had the same problem--I could not delete a highlight. There was no icon, the Erase button did nothing, and C+S+K did nothing. And when I attempted to delete it from the mobile app, there was no trash icon.
Solution: I opened that version of the Bible in a separate window and then was able to delete. This seems like a bug to me, and I hope Logos will fix it.

Be aware that "Remove highlighting" and "Erase" do not delete a highlight
- "Remove highlighting" (in the Selection menu) will remove all the highlight but leave a record in the Notes tool
- "Erase" (in the Highlighting tool) will remove the selected portion of a highlight and amend the record to show the part(s) that remain highlighted
- "Delete noted and highlights" (in the Context menu) will remove the visible highlight and delete the record.

Dear Dave,
Thanks for your reminder! I was not aware that there would still be a record in the Notes. I'll use "Delete notes and highlights" instead in the future. Thanks!
