wondering if the crashes will be fixed this week?
This is the first beta that has crashes that are hurting my workflow. It crashes doing a close all or even if I just trying switching between layouts, I am assuming the switching between layouts crash has to do with the closing of certain windows like the interlinears that I have open. Anyway I can still use it but it is somewhat annoying.

This is the experience of many and evidence why we need to take seriously the warnings regarding Beta testing. I have learned the kinds of things in L4 that I can and can't do and have been pretty good, but I and many others have just gone back to L3 or gone to work on a computer not running the beta for study where there is a deadline.

Jacob is right. I learned in the 4.0b Beta round that this can happen and to have a back up plan. I did not like having to go back to L3 so when I decided the participate in Beta testing 4.0c I picked up a netbook that has 4.0b loaded.
I would bet they get the crashes you are referring to fixed fairly quickly. It's pretty hard to test new features and processes if you are constantly restarting the program and having to avoid using so much of it.

Yeah I agree about the dangers of a beta the problem is I feel that L4 is missing a lot of features which I learned to love in L3. Or at least it was missing a lot of them but now that there are the newer features that I use so often I will probably opt out after they finish 4.0c.

I would have to agree wit Fred.
It is hard to test a program when there is so much of it that can no longer be used.

If download amounts are of no issue, I would just have a 2nd computer user account with L4 (not beta) loaded. Then if you run into this problem, you change to your other user account, everything is good. Just make sure your 2 accounts share your docs folder, most other programs transfer automatically.
