How can I search my library for books added in the last 6 months or books added since a specific date. I looked at the added section in the library sidebar but only see a preset query for Last 30 days and I don't know the proper words to use in the search.

How can I search my library for books added in the last 6 months or books added since a specific date.

There isn't a great way to do this.

The library can be sorted by "last updated," but that will show you:

Books recently purchased
Books with recent resource updates.
Only works on older installations. If you have a brand new installation, EVERYTHING will show as "today."

You can also check you purchase history on the website, which may help if "last updated" doesn't.

I have a collection with the rule AddedDate:<greater Dec 20, 2021> so that I can easily find books added after a given date.

Note that it is only accurate for new books downloaded after you installed Logos. If you have several installations, use the older one for this search.

<less Sept 19, 2020> would include everything BEFORE that date, not AFTER. You would need to change it to "greater".
