Uploading and Deleting books

If you want to upload the book to the Faithlife server, click Upload after building (and testing) the book.
This will ensure that it syncs to your other desktop installations, but there is a limit to the size (c. 20 MB).

The limit size is 20 MB. What does that translate to in terms of number or pages or word count assuming your book is limited to text and no images?

No idea, but quite a bit. How large is the project you are working on?

Pages_per_Gigabyte.pdf (setecinvestigations.com) will give you the information to do the math 63x20=1260 pages approximately

...or a guesstimate. It is the compiled file, not the .docx. Who knows what compression the compiled file may or may not have.

Illustrations and charts use up far more MB than the text.

Thanks MJ and JT. The project I am looking at is about 500 pages. It looks like it should be good. I was wondering if I would need to split it into two personal books.

I concur, but there isn't much lost if you work on it and the upload fails. In that case, the work you put into the .docx file is simple to split.

I have created 82 volumes of PB's at around 2,000-3,000 pages a piece. That is around 175,000 pages of 11 point font. The files altogether are only 305 mb, and that is including 82 JPEG covers. For me, that is around 11,000 pages per 20mb limit. But this is pure text apart from the cover.
