Settings for sharing images in Amber

Hello,

I just discovered Amber today. I'm excited about using it to create slides for sermon builder; it looks like it will save me time and make my slides look more professional.

My question concerns this:  All my "Assets" there, when I hover over them, show a listing of "Ratings, Views, Downloads, Favorites, and Shares."

Most of them have been viewed and shared multiple times (I have over 300 "assets").

But I have all my listings as private in Logos, and many of these images are copyrighted items I paid for. I never intended them to be public.

I must have missed a setting somewhere? How do I make these "Assets" private?

Thank you for any help in this!

I've spent more time in Amber, and was able to come up with more specific questions.

    1. Is Amber the same thing as Faithlife's Digital Asset Manager?

    2. In the screenshot, it says "Public" under "Can View." First, does this truly mean that this image is public and able to be viewed by anybody? If so, how do I change this? (Clicking on "Public" or "Admins" or any of those words doesn't do anything.)

    3. I had no idea this image (and others in my Amber vault) had been made public. It's an image I clicked with my phone and entered into a note in Logos. (When I did that, I didn't even know Amber existed; I just assumed this image was stored in my Logos notes.) I never uploaded it to anything. In Amber, it looks like all such notes (taken by my phone and directly inserted into my Logos notes) were automatically made public in Amber. If that's true, if I'm understanding that correctly, that's bad. How do I stop this?

Thank you so much, whoever is able to help!!

In screenshot above, this image shows that it has had 10 views and 3 shares.

In the screenshot below, next to "Can View," none of the potential viewers (Admins, Moderators, Members, Followers, Public) are highlighted in blue.

Does this mean this image cannot be seen by anybody but me? And does the number of views and shares then reflect my activity with the slide inside Logos?

In Logos, I have placed this slide in Sermon Builder and exported it to PowerPoint. I haven't done anything with it in Amber. I haven't shared it anywhere, unless exporting it to PowerPoint counts as a share...

Again, thank you for any help in this!

Amber is the same is Faithlife's Digital Asset Manager. It is used by many Faithlife products for storing media. The stats for views, shares, etc. will reflect your use of the assets in Faithlife products, e.g. Logos notes, and does not indicate the assets are public.

The screen shot showing permissions for that asset reveals a bug. Those permissions are for a group vault (assets stored for a Faithlife group) so group members can browse the assets. The permissions do not apply to user vaults, which is always private. I'll get a fix out for that bug to avoid the confusion.

Thank you, Dave, for your thorough answer.

My experience in Logos media makes more sense since I discovered Amber. I'm able to do more and do it more quickly. (After I got past the initial learning curve.)

If I spend some time tagging my assets, it'll be even more powerful.

But, the "Create Smart Media" tool looks more fun than studiously tagging my images, so I doubt I'll start tagging anytime this week!  [:)]

    Thanks again, Dave.
