Yes, I must admit beta 4 certainly has some substantial issues. Any word from Logos as to whether there will be a "make it usable" update. I just want to be able to close all my windows. Everything else I can live with.

This I can do - I just can't predict what actions will cause a crash ... so I can't provide good crash reports. I don't remember exactly what led to the crash.
Let me add that I think Logos is doing a great job of bug squashing and responding to feedback from beta testers. Their hard work is appreciated. Keep it up guys and gals!

Melissa mentioned on another post that they are aware of the extensive crash issues and development will get a fix out as soon as possible.
Absolutely no argument there. Even if they do take till Friday to update the beta that is not a strike against them. I knew what I was getting into with Beta and the fact that this is the first time one has caused me serious trouble speaks very well to the Logos team.

When it comes to stability, Beta 4 reminds me of some pre-alpha software back in the 90's

Agreed. I enjoy beta testing because I'm getting benefit and I know that my work is helping the software that I love. Thanks Logos!
Aaron I second your sentiments, they (the entire Logos team) in stamping our the bugs and issues that come up. I too enjoy Beta testing and getting the benefits of the newest items. I was just surprised of the crashes as I have started using it at church weekly and just wasn't expecting it.. Just looking forward to the fix when it comes... [:D].

We've fixed five crashing bugs and a number of other functionality issues today, but I'm not sure if we'll be able to get a Beta 5 build released (since it's already after 5pm PDT). If not, we're aiming to get it out as quickly as possible tomorrow.

Of course we "want" you to have a life outside of work. Unfortunately thats just not possible at this time as we have real, genuine needs. So get back to work and send us the update.
