Why do I have to find and then put in my password 'every' time I launch Logos now?

Hi, for the last few weeks, each time I start Logos desktop app on Windows 10 64x, I have to open my password manager, find and then copy my Logos password, and then paste it into the login popup before Logos will run. Nothing has changed on my PC other than recent updates from Logos and possibly Windows 10. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is this a new policy across the board now with Logos? Or is it just I who are finding this?

I am not seeing this behaviour at all.

Does everything work correctly after you enter your password?

How many installations of Logos do you have?  Do you connect to the Internet the same way when you start Logos?  Do you exit Logos when you have done your work or do you leave it running until Logos requests a restart?

I used to have an issue with Logos randomly requesting my password and rejecting it because I was in a place where I had no internet access.  If I recall, it was some kind of bug.  It has not happened in a while, but then again, most of the time, I have internet when opening up Logos.  If you are turning on Logos when you have an internet connection, this behavior certainly should not happen.  It should not happen even if you are off line.

Hi Graham, yes, everything works as it normally does after I enter the password (apart from layouts not being remembered most of the time, but that is another matter).

Hi Dane, I have Logos on both my PC and laptop, although I only occasionally use it on my laptop. It is the PC that is the issue, which is connected through Ethernet to a router to the internet. I often leave Logos running for a few days, even ignoring if it needs a restart, until I shut down the PC.

Also, I don't hold down the ctrl key when clicking the Logos app icon in Windows, which I think in the past has required logging in with a password.

    Hi Dane

I prefer to be called Dave, and you can avoid typing names if you use the Quote link at the bottom of the message.

FL will occasionally force me to login when I do a restart after a few day's running. It is a random check to ensure that I am a valid user of the app!

But I recommend you contact Customer Support for your issue (and you might also discuss the issue with Layouts).

Sorry Dave, I didn't mean to get your name wrong. My eyesight seems to be playing up again (double vision to greater or lesser extents from an eye problem I had a few years ago, which probably made the double v look like an n).

That's interesting. I would settle for random.

    Thanks for your help
