Theology Guide vs topic guide
What are the differences, pros and cons of the theology guide and topic guide?

They access difference resources - the theological guide accesses resources that are tagged with the theological tags (see Lexham Survey of Theology for a sense of the tags). These are primarily resources with a type of theology. Topic guide accesses resource that are tagged with topical tags - more oriented to dictionaries and encyclopedia etc. Run one of each side by side to observe the differences.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Hi MJ,
Is it possible to get the full list of theological tags and topic tags used by Faithlife? I can then use the same tagging system for my Notes.
Thanks

As detailed in the "Lexham Systematic Theology Ontology: Dataset Documentation", you can find the complete list of theological categories by checking out the table of contents of the "Lexham Survey of Theology".
There is no fixed list of topic tags. I think there are more than 35,000 topics. You could use the autocomplete suggestions in a Topic guide to look for matches.

Thanks Andrew for the quick and clear response. Very helpful.
Was able to get the 234 tags from the ToC of LST.

Wow, that's a lot of topics. There has to be a ton of overlap, I'm guessing. I'm struggling to think how the algos even figure out how to apply the right tag (because people definitely can't handle 35,000 topics).
Thanks a ton, Andrew.
