Report a Typo
I have a Windows 10 desktop running Logos 9.12.
When I try to report a typo, I can right click on the typo and the typo box pops open. I type in the correction and then click the "Submit" button and nothing happens. In the past, the tool would report that the typo had been successfully submitted.
When I click the "Cancel" button, nothing happens either. To close the pop-up, I have to click outside the box and then it goes away.
This is new behavior in the software. I have reported typos in the past with no issues whatsoever.
Any ideas out there?
Thanks!

I. Then, first, A SINGER IS BESIDE HIMSELF
C. H. Spurgeon, “The Prodigal’s Climax,” in The Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit Sermons, vol. 41 (London: Passmore & Alabaster, 1895), 243.
This is Spurgeon's sermon #2414.
The typo is the word "SINGER," It should be "SINNER.'
However, this problem is not limited to this instance. I have found a couple other typos in other works and the behavior is the same- right click on the typo, scroll down to report a typo menu item, open that. The typo reporting tool pops up, I type in the correction and hit "Submit" and nothing happens.
This was working before the 9.12 update came out- I reported a couple typos in 9.11 and they went through just fine.

On my Mac the box closes with no report of successful submission.

My problem is that the box doesn't close. Nothing happens when I click either the "Submit" or the "cancel" buttons. I have to click outside the reporting box to get the box to close.

Since this is the case, perhaps you should post logs. Please see my signature line.

Hi Timothy,
Thank you for letting us know about this, and I'm sorry you are experiencing this issue. We have an open case for our developers to look at and I have updated it with the additional information you have provided.

Same problem here, also with Windows 10 & Logos 9.12.
For me the problem only started when I went from disabling "Use Internet" in the Program Settings and then went back to enabling it.
Never had any problems reporting a typo before this.

You do realize that reporting a typo requires the internet as it sends the message to Faithlife.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I am experiencing the same issue. Are the developers still working on a fix? Is there an alternative way to report typos? Or should I write down all the ones I find for reporting later?

I've had this experience as well, also on Windows 10. I chalked it up to a momentarily unstable internet connection, as it doesn't happen all the time. I'm very glad to hear there's an open case on it and the developers are taking a look.

Save them for later. If a resource has a plethora of typos you could report that in the General forum (Attn: Kyle Typos in.......).

This happens to me so often, I now have a Highlighting palette with just a single style (which has a keyboard shortcut) linked to a Notebook for Typos to Report. [:)]

This has been fixed in 9.14. Even though the dialog didn't go away, any previously submitted typos were processed.

Thank you for the heads up. I have been "saving" typos by highlighting them as I encounter them. I just tried to report a typo in 9.14 and it went through. Hooray! Thank you!!!
