PERFORMANCE ISSUE: Unhiding a resource is EXCEEDINGLY slow if you've got a lot of hidden resourc

I have 32415 hidden resources (most of them from the free Library of Early English History, Library of Early American History, and Perseus collections).

At one point I had hidden all the volumes of Filología Neotestamentaria. I decided I wanted to unhide that, and frustratingly I have to unhide one volume at a time. Ugh! (That's a topic for another thread.)

Unhiding one volume took about 25 seconds and froze my machine while it was working.

With 33 volumes, assuming it also takes me a couple of seconds after each Unhide to right-click and unhide the next one, it's taking about 15 minutes to unhide all those volumes. (Well, longer, since I've paused to enter this report.)

Here is the log file for a short Logos session where all I did was unhide one volume of that journal.

That doesn't provide any useful info with only 29s of logging after unhiding. Unhide 3 as quickly as possible and log until the download(s) have completed (you should get a few scheduled for a single download).

As long as that "Unhide / Delete" message was up and the spinning mouse pointer was up I couldn't unhide any further. Here's logs from unhiding 3 in a row as quickly as I could. Maybe logging "Resource XXXXX is hidden; ignoring any updates" 32k times after every unhide is what's taking 29 seconds. That seems excessive. Logging isn't supposed to slow down the program significantly.

The whole process seems excessive for unhiding a few resources. There was 25-30s between "unhiding" messages whereas I experienced 5s when I could unhide the second immediately after clicking for the first one  (no spinning pointer)**.

There were 33685 "Resource XXXXX is hidden; ignoring any updates" messages for 32414 hidden resources.

Did anything download because you closed Logos too early to show a Discovery stage.

    Hi Rosie,

Thank you for reporting your issue. I'm working on getting things set up to test this with the large number of resources you have hidden and will let you know if I can reproduce the bug or if I need more information.

    No. I was completely up-to-date.
