How to copy a phrase or sentence in the original language from a Bible?
I can easily copy a single word in the original language from a Bible with an interlinear (like NASB), but how do I copy a phrase? When I highlight a phrase in English I have the option to copy it in English but I don't see a way to copy the phrase in the original language. The copy selection option appears to only be in English. The information is clearly there because of the interlinear information but how do I do this without having to open a separate text in the original language?

I'm pretty sure there is no way to do what you are wanting.
I would use the parallel resource icon to switch quickly to the Greek or Hebrew and copy a phrase from there.

It seems to me that one would need to learn some basic Greek grammar in order to correctly do that. Greek phrases and sentences do not usually parallel English grammar and order. That is why there is no such thing as a literal word for word translation.

Since the original language words in an interlinear are tagged on a WORD level (not a Phrase/Sentence/Paragraph connection), the option to copy a Greek/Hebrew phrase is only available in the resources where the original language is presented on the Surface (top line).

This seems pretty simple to do though. If you highlight a group of English words, because tagging is done at the word level, Logos does know what words are tagged to the highlighted words and Logos also has the order of the original language words which would allow it to capture all words from the start to the end of the highlighted phrase even though Hebrew/Greek obviously isn't one to one with English. It seems very easy for Logos to calculate the original text from the start to finish of section of highlighted text. All the data is there in the interlinear.

Simple is not sufficient here. Because of a very large user base and a small programming staff, FL must prioritize its work based partially on user demand. If you want this done add it to Roadmap | Faithlife, provide a link here for voting, and drum up support.
