Disappearing books

I have noticed this issue since I updated to version 9. I thought it might be that I had an older iPad and since I would within a few months buy a new one the problem be rectified. Not the case. I have all that I can have of my resources downloaded to my iPad. The issue is my resource will disappear. Examples: I be scrolling as I read then I could scroll no more, sometimes I change screen and when I go back to a previous screen it disappear. The book is still open and it is there because I can tap on the disappearing book and options appear.  If I clear the app from memory then reopen it then all appears again. As far as I can tell there is no rhythm or reason when and how it happens. Any help be appreciated. 😀

I can't quite follow what is happening for you.  But it sounds like 'normal' behavior (if also unexpected) ... at least for me.  If I have a resource open, and then go to another resource that is indexed differently, the first will go blank as if it's lost.  But if I click on it, it usually comes back (the text).  This oddity has been around for several years.  If I were doing the programming, I wouldn't change the display if there's no link.

But my experience might be a different issue from yours?

Thank You DMB for your response. :)

I checked out what you had to say and you could be right for my particular situation. I went to the app and tried to make it happen again and when I wanted it to happen it wouldn’t lol. To be more focused I think it mostly happens when I am using a reading plan for my daily bible reading. I opened the bible reading plan and I also opened the bible itself in two separate windows comparing to see if it gets to the end of the chapter. Out of 10 chapters it happed on the 8th one only going to verse 9 (out of 34). I did it again and it did it on the second chapter of today’s reading. So I guess I am asking are people having issues with reading plans in Logos 9?
    Thank you.

I have all that I can have of my resources downloaded to my iPad.

     How many?

It is best to be judicious in the number of downloaded resources. There aren’t many good reasons why the “pro’s” outweigh the “con’s” of downloading one’s entire library. TL;DR… the app is prone to corruption and the best fix is to delete and reinstall. Many features require internet, which negates the need to have resources downloaded.

Let's be careful concerning theological discussion of digital souls.  I think that was Paul's solution to bad-boy church members. Smiling.

OK, back to Kieth's reading plan resource-disappearance problem.  (I don't do reading plans, so can't check.)
