IPad eBook Question
I am considering buying an IPad and one of the features that I'm interested in is the eBook feature. However, I'm wondering what formats it allows you to put in your library. I currently have a lot of PDF books. Would the IPad allow me to put them in my library for reading?

Logos supports only books in the Logos and Libronix formats. Also, there is no manually loading of files into the library. The iPhone/iPad app communicates with your Logos.com account and provides access to all books for which you have a license and are permitted by the publisher.

Doug,
If you have just plain PDF files the iPad app called "GoodReader" is excellent for reading them. I'm using it (and Logos too - love the iPad app!!) and it works just fine for PDF files. The app costs .99 currently.

I can testify to the usefulness of GoodReader. If you check out the post on my blog from April 20, you'll see how I used it while teaching a college writing class on Monday night. There are a lot of these readers on the iPad already. I initially liked the interface in ReaddleDocs better, but GoodReader never crashes (the other program does!) and it's very, very fast.

I have to agree with Doug, I use the Goodreader app along with my Logos app for my iPad. I can publish my bible study lessons/sermons from onenote into PDF then drop them via iTunes into my Goodreader directory and read them on my iPad like a printed page. Works great, and should be even better when the iPhone OS 4 comes out in the fall for iPad. The multitasking will allow me to do my sermon prep/study from Logos on my iPad and prepare my message at the same time.
Yep only .99 and is currently number 1 or 2 in the top paid apps list, a great bargain for the price; and an excellant supplimental to the Logos app.

Thanks guys. It's nice to know that my PDF library will be at home. I ordered the 64GB version today. Hopefully it'll be here next week. I'm looking forward to getting to know this little device. It looks really neat.
