Update to Logos 9 with Full Features or Wait for Logos 10?
I'm considering an upgrade to Logos 9 with full features. I currently have Logos 9 but without the features. I've gone the Faithlife Connect route in the past, but don't want to spend the money renting something I'll never own. So should I purchase the upgrade now, or wait for Logos 10 that may include the features? What is the likelihood of that happening?

Well, first, the L10 features will include the L9 ones. They just charge extra (for the missing L9 ones, as they do, for example when you buy a commentary, but you already have several volumes ... dynamic pricing).
The only real question is the sale price now, vs the sale price approximately October. I don't remember what that difference is.

If it were me, since you already have the current features with your Connect subscription, I would see no reason to go ahead and upgrade features now if the expectation is that L10 will be out by the end of the year (based on previous releases). I think the discount is usually 25% with new releases, so you could go ahead and purchase the full feature set then if you want to own it outright.

My 2¢
First, I'd likely wait as the L10 discount will probably be worth it... however, you would have dynamic pricing, so if you are really itchy to pull the trigger it won't bite you when L10 does come out.
Second, do you currently have a connect subscription? I believe that provides you with some sort of discount. If it is about to expire, that may impact your willingness to wait.
Third, I have come to the position that (for me!) it makes the most sense to buy books, rent features. I consistently made purchases prior to the creation of FC subscriptions, so perhaps that is part of my thinking since I will still own THOSE features. However, the single most important "feature" to me is the ability to search my library. That comes as a part of the free engine. If/When I can't subscribe, I still have access to what I need most. In my case, a FC subscription will cost less over time.
