Why is it that sometimes new resources just show up, and sometimes I need to restart Logos?
Sometimes new resources I've just purchased online or that have just shipped that I ordered in pre-pub silently show up in my library. At other times, I get this notification that there are new resources that will be added to my library, and I have to restart to see the new resources. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason to it. Can anyone enlighten me?
For example, tonight have the above notification. It's now Wednesday 6/22, nearly an hour past midnight PDT, and all these screenshots are from within the past few minutes.
I haven't restarted Logos since Sunday (6/19).
On Monday 6/20, these five resources showed up in my Library without me having to restart Logos. The first four I purchased on the website. The fifth was a pre-pub I'd ordered a while back which shipped that day.
My orders page shows those five resources and three more that I acquired yesterday (Tuesday 6/21), one of which was a pre-pub (The Modern Language Bible: Berkeley Version) and the other two of which I bought from the website.
I suspect these are the three new resources which will download when I restart Logos now...
Yup! But why are they not at the top when I sorted by Last Updated? Doesn't it take into account the time as well as the date? These are not sorted in Title order within "Yesterday" (nor by Author, nor anything else that I can see; I haven't sorted by any other columns than Title or Author recently), so this order doesn't make any sense to me.
Also, WHY does Logos only report ONE of these in the Updated Resource(s) section of the notifications dropdown?
This is all very puzzling and is leaving me scratching my head. At least I got the books I ordered. But I'm befuddled about the weird sort order, how the notifications work, and why I sometimes need to restart Logos and other times not.

Logos will always try to install the resources into the program without requiring a restart.
However, if the resource file is currently in use and can't be replaced, it will be scheduled to be installed the next time the program is restarted (and you will see a notification about that). This most commonly happens with dataset resources, which can be in use behind the scenes.

Thanks, Bradley.
Do you have an answer for these other two questions I buried farther down in the post?
1) First...
Also, WHY does Logos only report ONE of these in the Updated Resource(s) section of the notifications dropdown?
Note that actually three new resources had been updated with that restart:
2) And second, regarding these three most recently updated resources...
But why are they not at the top when I sorted by Last Updated? Doesn't it take into account the time as well as the date?
