Searching note anchor text
I want to go back and add new tags to some existing notes, like adding a tag for a person mentioned in the anchored selection. At first, I was content doing a basic search using markup fields, but then I realized not all of my notes have highlights; some only have note icons.
Searching my notes seems to only return what I've typed, not the anchor text.
Is there some way to search anchor text?

No. But the Notes tool has a sidebar that allows you to find notes by a number of criteria, including bible book.
You can also apply an existing Label to notes which could include attributes/properties like Name, Date, Description. You can then use a search query like {Label Personality WHERE Name ~"John the Baptist"}.

I have the same problem and started a feature suggestion: https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-desktop-app/posts/highlights-search-for-text-in-anchors

{Label Personality WHERE Name ~"John the Baptist"}.
When did they sneak this label in on me?
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I know you can multi-select notes and easily change the markup style. What if you selected all the ones with icons and changed them to a style you could use as a filter in the Basic search (using the Books tab)? Some fine-tuning or batching may be necessary if you want to retain distinct styles and not have all your notes look alike, but it could be a workaround.
Sorry for the double post. I misunderstood your question initially but hope this helps more.
