Bible text without verses

I learned years ago about the value of reading the Bible without regard to chapter and verse divisions. I am happy that Logos has that option.

However, when Logos removes chapter and verse numbers, and all the non-Biblical text, it still leaves all the blank spaces where the chapter headings and non-Bible text was, so that still leaves in the reader's mind a break in the narrative.

When Logos removes all non-text information from the Bible, it should also format the text so that the reader doesn't know where they were. That's the only way to gain the full value of reading the Bible without these artificial gaps.

The key is in “The reader’s mind.” But you’re right, why not have Logos readjust the text so those blank spaces don’t look odd. They don’t bother me, but there are others who get distracted because of that.

Lately, I just listen to the Bible. There’s only a brief “chapter 1”…break, but I can get through the NT once a week and still rip the benefits. Plus, it’s easier on my eyes 👀

I am not a listener like that. My mind would be all over the place. When I read, I often have to reread.

You think you can ignore the spaces, but your mind knows what the space represents. You need to read the text without the spaces to fully get the desired effect.
