Why is the abridged version of NIDNTTE listed as an encyclopedia and not a lexicon like the parent resource?

NIDNTT, Abridged is similar to TDNT, Abridged... it is arranged according to Greek words, not English (NIDNTT is arranged according to English words). So NIDNTT, Abridged would fit properly into "Lexicon" category.
I mean, NIDNTT-Abridged should be 'lexicon', similar to that of TDNT-Abridged.Sorry I don't have NIDNTT.., as I understand, it is grouped under English words, so not sure whether it is 'lexicon'.
I am also curious as to why the NIDNTT is not typed as a Lexicon.
Also, is there any plans to connect the links within "Mounce's Complete Expository Dictionary of Old & New Testament Words" to the NIDNTT-A?
That would be very beneficial.

Old Testament
Adjective: רִאשׁוֹן (riʾšôn), GK 8037 (S 7223), 182×. As an adjective, riʾšôn describes what is first in a series or rank. In terms of time, riʾšôn can convey the meaning “previously, in a former time.” See first.
New Testament
Adjective: πρότερος (proteros), GK 4728 (S 4386, 4387), 11×. proteros is a comparative adjective that denotes a period of time preceding another period of time, “earlier, former.” proteros appears both as an adjective (Eph 4:22; Heb 10:32; 1 Pet. 1:14) and an adverb (Jn 7:50; Heb 7:27). Paul says in Gal 4:13, “it was because of an illness that I first preached the gospel to you.” See NIDNTT-A, 501–2.
