Links don't work on Personal Books but work in docx file
I am converting a huge resource from the format I purchased previously (epub) into docx to create a Personal Book.
This resource has thousands of links literally.
When I convert it into docx (using Calibre), the result is 70% positive. I usually only need to change the styles because the conversion messes it a little bit.
The links are converted and work perfectly in Word — if I ctrl+click them, they will take me to an end page list with all links. But when I compile the docx into Logos, the links don't work! They don't point to anywhere (in Word, as it seems they point to a specific point in the document"
I understand that I have two possible solutions:
1) Convert all links into footnotes, preserving the location - This is my favorite! However, I'll probably need a Macro (any experts help on it would be greatly appreciated!)
2) Make the links work in Logos - If possible, fine, but the visual result is not the best because footnotes coming from Word behave beautifully in Logos.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks in advance from Brazil!

There are possibilities, but attach a sample few pages from your document so we can see what you have.

Hi Thiago:
I have had similar experiences. The docx from Calibre would have good, functional bookmark (TOC links, endnotes, etc.) links in Word; sometimes those survived the PB compiler, sometimes not. I was not able to determine a pattern.

If Dave or others aren't able to diagnose your issue from a sample, I wrote a footnote converter for Word a few years ago that might or might not help with your issue. See the reply link below for the files, but read the entire thread for context. If you decide to use it, remember: make frequent 'safe copies' in case something goes wrong.

Thank you Dave and Robert.
You are always useful and attentive supporting us here!
Attaching a sample for your consideration.
I'll read your thread through, Robert and I'll let you know the outcome.

It seems that the links in this sample part are not actual hyperlinks, but rather were footnote links to footnotes placed at the end of the document (endnotes). After conversion from epub format to docx format, they are neither proper formatted footnotes nor actual hyperlinks, and thus are not recognized when PB is compiled in Logos.
One could try and use one of the various free online converters to make another epub to docx conversion, perhaps it would better handle these footnotes and produce a more workable docx file?

I agree, else you have to do a manual conversion.

Yes! You are right!
They are indeed misplaced footnotes.
After I started the thread I investigated further and noticed that!
Sad conclusion... After all, 1805 notes! 100 words pages only with the notes.
I am currently trying online converters. Tried convertio already but with no success.
As soon as I find a good solution, I'll reply here to help people with the same issue in the future.
Thank you all by now!

I would also report it to Calibre. So the developer can fix the issues.
