In Microsoft Word my hyperlinks open inside Logos. However, all bible references open on the web app. It was asking if I wanted to open them in the app or in Logos but now it sends them all straight to the web app. Is there any way to change this so Bible verses open in Logos like the books do?

??? I have a Word document open, in it is a Bible reference "John 1:18".   When I click on it, NOTHING happens ...  of course not, because it is just plain text in a text document.

So then, what kind of Word document do you have? what kind of bible reference is in the document? when does it want to open a Bible reference in the web app? Is this perhaps specific to Mac version of Word and Logos? )

I use Win10 ... is this perhaps the reason that I am slightly confused reading your post, thus my questions for clarification so I can begin to understand what you have written.

your right plain text will not open But if you right click in Logos and copy the URL and then go to Word and choose hyperlink the top bar will be the text you want to display and the bottom bar in that panel will be where you paste the hyperlink. That part is easy but my links open In the wee app instead of the Logos program.

If you go to the panel menu and choose Copy Location as: L4 (see below) and then insert that as a hyperlink in your Word document.. do you still get the same behavior? It opens right up into Logos for me.

You need to paste the L4 link described above e.g. logosres:esv;ref=BibleESV.Jn3.12

We don't recommend this, because L4 links don't work in (most?) macOS applications.

We have plans to make ref.ly links open directly in Logos instead of going through the web site.

Bradley, please don't get rid of the L4 links! I use them in in the Mac app Alfred. I have over 100 links that greatly speed up my workflow by automating searches and look ups for me. They work great. Also, the L4 links do work in MS Office products.

I work from home on Monday so it is interesting everything works great on my laptop everything opens as before. Could I have changed a setting in Word? It used to ask if I wanted to open in the app or in Logos. Maybe I inadvertently clicked on the app. Does anyone know where I would check to see if this is the case so I can rule this out?

    Thanks for all the help!
