Drag & Drop into Notes?

It seems this topic has been discussed in the past - but I don't know the current status of functionality and get conflicting messages from other users.

My situation: Running Logos 9 (currently 9.16 beta 2) on Windows 10 Home version 21H1, all 64 bit.

Copy & Paste works well, I can select text, images or both and copy from e.g. any website on my Chrome browser or from MS Word or wherever, then paste into a note and the text and/or images will be there, no issue. I see a quick info "uploading images..." and those will be available as media files later. All okay.

Drag & Drop, however, does not work at all. When I select the text and/or image and move it over to the Logos note, the mouse cursor changes, indicating I could drop the selected object(s) into the note. This doesn't happen, drag & drop simply doesn't work. I understand other Logos regulars in other threads to claim the same thing: Drag & Drop is not there, make a feature request if you want it (strange since this should be a simple OS call somewhere, and the changed mouse cursor indicates that it should work).

Now another user claims it works for him, on Windows 10 (Pro version, though)! Should this work on my machine? What about Win 11? What about the Mac side of things?

this seems to have escaped nearly everyone's attention - or no one ever has the need to use drag & drop in notes? (it came up again today in a Faithlife group discussion, though).

no, it doesn’t work on Mac either. used it all the time on Bibleworks, was surprised to find it doesn’t seem to work at all here.
