Does Verbum lean more toward Catholic/RC studies than Logos/FL?
Yes, you may remember that many years ago, before Verbum, Logos temporarily had a program setting for canon. A certain portion of Logos users complained so loudly that the canon option was removed and Verbum created - a wise decision. As Protestants have regained an interest in the early church fathers, the difference between Verbum and Logos has been narrowing. If Faithlife were to reflect real life, Logos and Verbum would represent a continuum in resources and tools with mainstream Protestants somewhere near the middle, needing the best of both ends. But note that Verbum has three flavors serving different churches under the Catholic umbrella: (a) standard (Latin, western, Roman) Catholic (b) eastern rite Catholic and (c) Ordinariate (Anglican usage) Catholic
Run both programs simultaneously. Being a Catholic(not Roman), Baptacostal, Reformed Charismatic, Non-Denominationalist [:D], I try to learn a little something, something from everybody. Really just a believer and follower of The Way.
Verbum, which is a department within FL, is for Catholics, although the desktop program with its special settings, website, blog, base packages, etc., can also be very useful for non-Catholics.
