Do Pentecostals use Logos?

I own a logos Messianic Jewish starter and Pentecostal & Charismatic packages and I would be interested in upgrading but you really don't have any literature from pentecostal ministers such as Oral Roberts, Kenneth Hagin, Kenneth Copeland, TD Jakes, David and Nicole Crank, Andrew Wommack, John G Lake, Smith Wigglesworth, or a whole list of others. Adding the Dakes Bible was a huge addition. When will you be adding some actual pentecostal titles to the pentecostal library? If not, Pentecostals really have no reason to shop here.

Welcome to the forums. To try to get these resources added to the FL libraries:
(a) add a request on Roadmap | Faithlife
(b) post a link to the request here and explain why the resource is needed
(c) every few months, bring it to users' attention again to round up more votes
(d) be patient

Logos has a lot of Wigglesworth books:

Thanks for the input! Much appreciated. However, they are not included in the Pentecostal package as previously stated.

Ha! What are the odds? I just finished listening to “Strange Fire” by John MacArthur, and all those names are mentioned in his book. I highly recommend it! (Both the audiobook and the digital book).

Maybe that will change with the release of Logos 10.

The Forums have a separate section for Pentecostals and Charismatics - https://community.logos.com/forums/115.aspx that may have links to resources not in the resource collection.

In that case, let me recommend "Holy Fire" by R. T. Kendall, who offers a balanced response to McArthur. Also available in Logos.

I only recommended a book I just discovered. It contains a lot of information that was 1) new to me and 2) information I can relate to.
Recommending a book is no sign of slipping into any habit. I’m sorry that you see it that way.DAL

I'd also like to throw in Michael Brown's "Authentic Fire: A Response to John MacArthur's Strange Fire" into the ring as well.

I have to see it that way to make sense of a response in the thread. And I do accept your explanation. However, I am delighted to see a counter-argument resource has been recommended to you.

Hey, it’s a new resource, so I don’t mind listening to the other side of the story, even if RT Kendall doesn’t cite his sources. I think, Michael Brown has a response to “Strange Fire” also. I might find him (Brown) more credible than Kendall. Here’s the link: https://www.logos.com/product/52045/authentic-fire-a-response-to-john-macarthurs-strange-fire

Ahhh—Beat me to it.
Brown’s rejoinder to Johnny Mac is superb (wouldn’t be the first time JM has [unintentionally I believe] misrepresented Pentecostal beliefs).

Between Kendall and Brown, I don’t think they have made half a rejoinder (they don’t even amount to a quarter of rejoinder). Take it from someone who was a pentecostal for 12 years. The things I’ve seen and the confessions I’ve heard from people I know only leads to one conclusion: MacArthur was very intentional in what he wrote and he meant every word he wrote. At the end of the day you’ll either agree with him or disagree with him — the ball is on the reader’s court. Based on my experience, I agree with 99% of what he wrote, and I’m not even a southern Baptist like MacArthur is.
Anyway, I was hoping at least Brown would bring up something new, but neither him nor Kendall had much to say that I haven’t already heard before. These three books along with Charismatic Chaos by MacArthur are a must read or listen for those who want to analyze both sides of the coin.
I highly recommend these four books along with Keener’s book on miracles.Peace to all of you!

Well, take it from someone who was, ummm, we’ll just say “denominal” for a number of years...until rigorous analysis of the Scriptures forced me to abandon many of the identical dogmas that MacArthur argues for in many of his works & speeches.
Personally, I have found MacArthur’s claims to be surprisingly weak & woefully uninformed as noted by Brown, et. al.
Is there nonsense in some Pentecostal churches operating under the banner of a ”move of the Holy Ghost?” Absolutely!
We’ve been attempting to salvage one for the last 6 years! Indeed, I have taught from I Corinthians 12-14 more in the last 6 years than I ever have (with almost 25 years in ministry now).
However, under no circumstances does error, heteropraxy, or, shall we say, misplaced zeal, nullify genuine biblical orthodoxy. We don’t throw the baby out with the bath water.
I do agree that readers should examine both sides of the coin by availing themselves of the works cited in this thread.
My 2 cents.

I have either Bronze or Silver of this base package and I am very happy with the resources and features included. I have at least starter in every denomination base package. I love them all.

Someone mentioned one of the authors doesn't cite their sources. My biggest complaint about MacArthur is that he doesn't generally do that either.
I find I agree with MacArthur more than I disagree. But at the end of the day, I sincerely wish he would cite his sources. Pastor JMac if you ever read this, citations are a beautiful thing.L2 lvl4 (...) WORDsearch, all the way through L10,

In a spirit of egalitarianism, it may help to remind that quite often in such tit-for-tat discussions, it isn't a matter of either/or, but instead...neither.

Pastor JMac if you ever read this, citations are a beautiful thing. He did plenty of citations in Strange Fire. In others, it’s like Kendall. The excuse seems to be that they’re just sermons put together in book form and not written for an academic audience; hence, no citations are required.
It’s amazing I agree with him in many other things. I even agree with Wayne Grudem, which is another name MacArthur mentions in his book.

The irony of that is that I never said, “you’re not welcomed here.” All I did was merely point out that the names he mentioned were named in MacArthur’s book which I had recently just finished listening to👂 If people chose to interpret it differently that’s judging without knowing people’s motives and that’s a sin. But nobody focuses on that little but important detail.

Yes, there was a very specific complaint about DAL's post in another context and DAL's response to my expressing concerns convinced me that no ill-will was intended although it was perceived by more than one reader.
