If the “last Monday in October“ holds true, look for Logos 10 on October 24th, 2022
Sorry for the jest.
Reminded me of the truck at the southwest office hint we had one year.
If only the exchange rate had not crashed .....in the UK this will be expensive
After a good deal of internal discussion, we've decided to give our forum users an early preview! Here is a quick Verbum 10 sneak preview.
DON'T LOOK AT THE LIGHT!!! DON'T DRINK THE COOLAIDE!! LOL
In all seriousness, nice Easter egg find.
There are other (lesser) Easter eggs, too:
https://verbum.com/10
https://www.logos.com/10
(Those aren't sheepish 404s anymore.)
Also https://es.logos.com/10.
I'm hoping for some major updates, since it is the 10th version.
REALLY hoping for a better way to prioritized, but I have already said that in a post months ago in this thread.
Would love to see better library management as well - it is so overwhelming and some of you have far more resources than I do... about 3,500 plus a couple hundred hidden ones I still own.
REALLY hoping for a better way to prioritize
This and a quicker way to create linksets instead of having to add resources one at a time.
Would love to see better library management as well
Agreed. Make it easier to manage cloud vs. downloaded resources and more control over indexing.
Well, I guess I better go sell some plasma. [U]
Tomorrow... OHHH Tomorrow!
I have my alarm set 30 minutes earlier than normal.
Did anyone get a link as to where this will be on the internet?
Live in the Word - YouTube
Thanks, got it! [8-|]
"Problem loading page - YouTube" ... overload ? [:(]
with all the commotion of sign up for event, getting your spot, etc .... doing something like this on YouTube is quite awful ...
If one drums up all that publicity, then please provide your own platform that will work ... [B]

Worked for me.
Got Logos 10... Search is definitely faster gonna play with it ... [:D]
So, two thoughts...
If the “last Monday in October“ holds true, look for Logos 10 on October 24th, 2022 So, two thoughts... I was wrong in my prediction. I'm going to hold the conspiracy theory that FL did that to spite me
So do they revert to pattern for 11, go to 11/11, or do something else entirely? [;)]

I figure now that they broke the last Monday in October trend, all bets are off.
Fun fact: We didn't artificially pick 10/10. It was where our 6-week release cycle naturally landed. If you move in 6-week increments from the L9 launch on 10/26/20, 10/10/22 was the date in October that didn't require us to adjust our 6-week release cadence. Neat, huh?
Neat for predicting the next major release date, too. [;)]
Well .... I've been playing with the L10 Search... and I'm sold! I looked up about a dozen thing and found them all!!! Yea!
Search is a big thing for me... and L9 Search was not good... probably me, but I had a very difficult time finding study in L9 Search...
I'm all smiles with L10 Search already! Now I'll check out the other stuff... lol.
This is really good to hear!
That is so cool.
That makes sense. But I like my explanation better [;)]
Well October 24th came and went, and still no Logos 10 engine
Welcome to the forums. Most of us found the Logos 10 engine was released on October 10, 2022. Are you just testing the forum security or have you honestly not received any notification of the update?

The other option, MJ, is that Liep is unfamilar with FL's practices concerning engines and launch windows and is wondering about the free L10 engine.
Liep - If that is the case, here is quick background and what to expect moving forward... In the past, the "free" engine was made availble to those who did not make an additional purchase sometime several months AFTER the initial release. Following that pattern, the "free" L10 engine would likely be released sometime in January or February. However...
FL is moving away from the engine numbers being tied to the Library and Dataset numbering. Moving forward, the software versioning will be completely unrelated. There will not be a free "L10" engine simply becasue FL is renumbering it. The current version of the software is "version 22." The next version will be called "version 23." This is expected to be free to everyone and availble in about six weeks. If you have automatic updates, you can expect "version 23" to download then, followed by "version 24" about six weeks following that.
Quite true. I based my answer on the profile Liep provided as well as the fact it was a first post.

I am so sorry for the inconvenience but you are right I don't know how this works, as I have Logos 9, 9.17.0.0020 how do I get Logos 10 or 22, 23 or 24.
Please help me
Liep
I believe JT's post above answers your question:
In other words, you need to turn on "automatic updates" if you don't have it on already, and then Version 23 will download for you automatically when it's ready. There will be no Logos 10 download for you in the meantime, though, since that was released before they changed this policy of allowing the free engine to download immediately even for people who hadn't purchased a new package.
You will find what is sometimes informally called "automatic updates" under Tools > Program Settings:
As far as I understand the situation, there is no automatic update from L9 to L10.
You can get L10 now by purchasing a L10 package. After the purchase it will usually download and install automatically next time when you open the software (provided you have the program settings for using internet and automatic updated sett to "on").As mentioned before. a free L10 basic version is expected to be released later (possibly late January - early February 2023). One could then update L9 to L10 without needing to purchase a package ... however, this version will not have various features available via purchase of a L10 package.
There has not been. But FL has announced that there will be.
(Version 22 of the software will only be available to those who have purchased Logos 10. But if you're not a Logos 10 customer, don't worry. We're working hard to bring future software updates, starting from version 23, to all Logos users.)

v23 should be available c. Feb 21st (currently in Beta test).
I have just the Free Basic Logos 9 and been updatet to Version 22 without doing anything a while ago
I have just the Free Basic Logos 9 and been updatet to Version 22
That is unexpected, but not a problem. Most users should start to be updated to Version 23 soon once it is released.
Yes, there was an announcement recently that a certain group would be updated to 22 rather than waiting for 23.

Specifically, those in the (public) mobile beta.

I just need the basic engine upgrade and was told there'is a file to delete in Logos 9 to allow update
I don't believe this is the case as - as you note - macOS 11 is the minimum version required for Logos 10 (Logos 22)
my Logos 9 is not updating to 22 when i typed "update now"i'm on macOS version 10 and am aware of the minimum supported version
Logos Wiki => Logos Downloads Archive shows Logos 9.17 & Verbum 9.17 were the last stable releases for macOS Mojave 10.14 & macOS Catalina 10.15
Logos Minimum System Requirements shows Logos 10 & newer (22, 23, ...) need macOS Big Sur 11, macOS Monterey 12, macOS Ventura 13, or newer. Faithlife Corporation tends to support 3+ macOS versions.
FYI: macOS Mojave 10.14 was the last macOS that could run 32 bit & 64 bit applications. Newer macOS releases only run 64 bit applications.
Keep Smiling [:)]
