Native support for macOS with M1 and M2 chips in Logos 10?
I haven't seen anything about this, so I thought I'd ask! I understand that native support is coming.

In my testing its about twice as fast in 10 built for M1, vs L9.I haven't seen anything about this, so I thought I'd ask! I understand that native support is coming.
With 16k titles, it took me ~181 minutes to fully index on a 2020 M1 with Logos 9.
With 16k titles, it took me ~99 minutes to fully index on a 2020 M1 with Logos 10.
Granted 10 doesn't have to index some things, and those numbers represent a full rebuild of the index, so its likely even faster.
But its at LEAST twice as fast now that its made for M1.

If you update from Logos 9 on an Apple Silicon Mac, will the auto updater grab the Apple Sillicon version? Or is it better to uninstall and reinstall from the Apple Sillicon download link? I went to check in the "about" tab in Logos, but it gives a version/build number only, and doesn't tell you if its the M1/M2 version.

We planted seeds in a recent version of Logos 9 for it to grab the correct version. If you are on 9.14 or later it will automatically update to the native Apple Silicon version.
I don't have an Apple Silicon Mac in the office on hand, but I'm told it says in Activity Monitor if you are running on the Intel or ARM (i.e. Apple Silicon) version of the application.0 -

Yes, under Activity Monitor, Verbum now lists as "Apple Silicon". Indexing is quicker, for one thing!

Finally, after decades, the speed of Logos on the M1 Pro Mac is acceptable. It's refreshing. Thanks for the hard work on this. I am sure that updates will continue to improve the speed.
