Move Menu Bar to top of screen?
Mucho Kudos for all the work that went into L10! You sold me with the Search! I can actually find stuff!!
Is there a way to move the menu (when Logos opens) from the side to the top of the screen? I think it give me more real estate for my resources.

Yes - there's a setting in Program Settings called Application Toolbar Location (second item from the top)

Thanks Graham!

If you want to keep it on the left for a few days to see if you like it, without taking up much real estate, there's a minimize button toward the bottom of the left toolbar.

If you couldn't minimize the menu bar it would be a show stopper. As it is, it will work nicely with my layouts.

Can anything be done about the extra icons at the top of the menu bar just below "Search"? I'd like to remove Factbook, Bible, Documents, Guides and Tools. I'd prefer to have the real estate.

Sorry, but no.

Thanks Levi for the quick answer, but to be honest I didn't like it. I kind of resent the lack of flexibility in placing my own shortcuts on the tool bar. This forces many of my shortcuts in to the >> menu and now it takes two clicks to access them. Do you have any idea how many seconds a year I will waste on that second click? Perhaps I can work out and set up a drill program that will speed up my click rate! [;)]

I agree with John -- at home, on my array of three 27" monitors real estate is not a problem. However, even on my 17" monitor on Dell G7 -- I really need all the real estate possible. My normal Desktop/Layout is to have four windowsd with Bibles in the ujpper left, my UMC RCL in the lower left, most used commentaries in the upper right, and dictionaries, and a few other various souces in the lower right.
With that configuration, I really need all the width I can get and the menu bar on the side is cutting in on my layout by shrinking the width of each window
On the other hand, I've been expecting Logos 10 would pop up in the not too distant future. Thinking back to the old Logos for DOS, and then the Libronix system -- this is a nod to an old Virginia Slims commercial "You've come a long way baby."

"Real Estate" is relative. The shape of the monitor, layout of the panels, and screen resolution will all contribute. I fully agree that I want "all the real estate possible..." which is why I have my toolbar on the left.
I'd show you a screenshot but the forums are acting up. [:s]0 -
I do not see a minimize button on the left application toolbar, so I moved it to the top so I could use my layout windows. Can you describe it?

I decided to run with menu bar on the left.... never had it that way in windows or other... so it's new to me... but I'll try... [8-|]

I have Logos 10 and there is no Program Settings in the Tools and Guides. I must be doing something wrong?

Program Settings is in the Application Menu (the three dots at the bottom/right of the tool bar). Welcome to the forums.

Yes, it is there as well but I tend to lead people to the application menu for application wide functions. Personal preference.

Well, you have your tag'ers, and your collection'ers (Library).
Then you have your Tool'ers and your 3-Dot menu'ers (Settings).
I'd forgotten the Settings in Tools, since I dragged it onto the application bar many moons back. But I wouldn't use it menu-settings anyway; the menu doesn't allow a right-click > floating window.
