What is the significance of the gray highlighted resources in base packs?

What is the significance of the gray highlighted resources in base packs?
I've found no rhyme or reason to why certain items are highlighted and others are not.

It has nothing to do with value, it's not the "Resource Highlights" where the pictures are shown, and I'm pretty sure it's not "new" resources.

Is it resources that are only found in that specific package or something?

Odd.

Mine does that as well, but there's always at least a couple resources in each base pack that does this for me without hovering.

The base pack shown is 9 Reformed Gold. I wonder if it's only something on my end.

For me, it only happens when I hover my mouse over a line, or when I expand a section or collection by clicking on the right arrow.

In your example, you've got "Other" expanded so those two items show up highlighted. You've got 20th Century Theology expanded too, but there are further collections in there which are not expanded, so the grey highlighting doesn't show up. But for 18th Century Theology, when you expanded that, the only resources in it are stand-alone not bundles themselves, so those are highlighted.

It's not totally logical or consistent. But that's the best sense I can make of it.

I don't think it is anything you have to pay attention to; it's just meant to be a visual aid for groupings of resources.

Thanks, this makes the most sense, it was really bugging me. I think like you said it's just one of those things that doesn't have a ton of consistency. I was just worried I was losing out on an awesome feature like it highlighting my wish listed items, or items that are specific to that package or something.

Hearing you two respond back inferring that it's not anything major I'm missing out on brings me a lot of comfort.

The only thing I can see that's consistent about all of the above that might explain why there is no highlighting is that all of those expanded sections have either: (a) only one item in them; or (b) multiple items where some of the items are expandable lists themselves.

But more likely, there's no rhyme nor reason to it. I would just ignore it.

To me, it looks like it's a formatting error when it's directly underneath a group heading and it's part of a "Partially included" and the right arrow heading is missing. Some kind of coding error.
