Suggestion: Easier Hiding of Resources

Greetings,

Logos 10 is great so far, but one of the perennial weaknesses of the program in my opinion is library management.

Logos is meant to be quite personal with all of the different packages that encompass different traditions and levels. As a result, there is a significant chance that someone is going to get a package with resources they don't find useful and would prefer to permanently or temporarily hide.

The current system of hiding resources leaves much to be desired. One has to open the app preferences and physically drag books to the bottom of these preferences, oftentimes requiring cursor gymnastics on small screens.

Why not implement the following?

1. In Library, when the Information panel is open, have a simple checkbox entitled "Hide this Resource" while adding another filter on the left entitled "Hidden" so one can go back and see/unhide resources.

2. Another possibility is to use tags. Every copy of Logos can have a "Hidden" tag. A user can simply add whatever resource he wants to be hidden in this tag. Resources can be unhidden by filtering the "Hidden" tag on the left and removing the tag.

That's it. Easy. At least in my mind.

I hope to see something like this in the future so I can easily hide all of the extra resources that I will probably never use.

I use Verbum with an 8-Core Mac Pro (2013) and a MacBook Pro (2017)
