Bug: Multiple User Factbook tags

When I open the Context menu with a Factbook tag selected, I sometimes get multiple identical tags.

For example, in Lexham Bible Dictionary, under the Article on Barnabus I open the Context menu to "Son of Encouragement". The Context menu shows 6 identical Factbook Tags for "Barnabus". I believe these are user created tags (Community tags). I would expect Logos to combine all of these user tags into one Factbook entry.

Yes. Logos could disguise it via the Context menu as I doubt that Logos could prevent multiple users from tagging it over a (small) period of time when there is no evidence of a tag. I deleted all of them but the Factbook Tags search shows 3 of them!

Where "Barnabas" or "Paul" are tagged as a Person, I cannot add a tag. "Law of Moses" in the Background paragraph of Barnabas is tagged for the topic, but I was able to tag "Moses" as a Person.

Perhaps if a word is already tagged, a phrase cannot be tagged that includes that word. But I deleted the long tag in the Travel Narrative section of the Gospel of Luke article and several word tags showed up for the words Jerusalem and Jesus.

I looked at the Letter of Barnabus article in Faithlife Study Bible. I tried adding a Factbook tag to "Letter of Barnabus". The context menu shows that this is already a Topic, even though it is not underlined as a Factbook tag. Is that because the Topic is already there for the article as a whole? I can tag the phrase in other articles.

It strikes me that unless Faithlife exercises some degree of oversight over these User tags, the Factbook will become increasingly cluttered and less useful. I would be fine with including the tag if it was added by several users, much like Popular Highlights has a minimum threshold before they become visible to everyone, as well as consolidation of duplicate tags. But right now, it appears that new tags show up quite soon after one person enters a tag.If it is set up differently, I would love to hear otherwise.

I know this is not true as I have added items such as "Act of Peter", "Acts of Andrew" etc. where Peter and Andrew had previously been tagged as people. There is a maximum length of text that can be selected/tagged ... I don't know the limit as it was too short for several common book titles so they have/had a case to change the length.

Thanks for the report. We have some basic mechanisms in place to discourage duplicates, but it is not comprehensive. We did work to address the effects of duplicates in most locations, but it seems this one evaded us. I have filed a bug report to get it fixed. Thanks
