Translate limit: any idea what is the limit
Hi Everyone,
Any idea what is the limit of translate? I tried to translate several times and copy the translation but the limit percentage is not updating. Please see the picture below.
Thanks.

It hasn't been defined exactly. Staff has only said that the limit is generous and more than most people would ever use. I would be interested in a more precise answer as well.

Maybe you're still <1%.

FL did not provide us with precise numbers during beta testing. It is possible that they don't know. There is a real cost involved to FL in the translation. It may be that FL hopes to keep the meters off but to have the option to turn them on if the feature becomes too popular.
I really like the feature, but I will not use the featue often. Hopefully my infrequent usage helps those who will benefit the most from it.

I’d like to see hard numbers as well. In my case, 99% of the books I would have used it on I’ve already read, so not sure how much I’ll get to use it.
I’d pay extra for a plus version of it that would allow me to copy German/Latin/French text from non-Logos sources and have it translated so I wouldn’t have to subject myself to Google Translate.

Just go to deepl.com. They even have a Windows app you can install to translate from within any program. The quality of the translation is generally much better than Google Translate.

That‘s a fair summary.

DeepL isn't free, of course. They do offer a free trial, but the least expensive plan is $6.99/mo.
