Logos 10 update on windows
I was out of the office for a few days and noticed today that my Logos 9 was auto updated to Logos 10 on my Mac. I didn't initiate the update. I am back home and am wondering about my Surface running windows 11. It hasn't auto updated and i am not sure how to do that. I have done a little searching and can't seem to find anything there. Can someone help me out. Thank you.

Welcome Raul! [:)] Sorry you are having troubles. [:s]
It hasn't auto updated and i am not sure how to do that.
You can use the command update now. However, depending upon your settings, the command may not work. If it doesn't, please provide more details including the specific version of the engine you are running now as well as your Logos update settings in preferences.

Thank you JT, for your reply. I am running Logos 9 and I have download updates automatically selected. I don't know where the command update now is at. I'll look for it.

I figured out the update now. Didnt work. Not sure what information you would need to help.
When you say enginge, do you mean Logos 9.17 and windows 11 or something else?
Thank you.

It is a command YOU enter into the command bar. This is L10 on Mac, so it will look a little different than on your Windows L9 installation:
I am running Logos 9
"Logos 9" isn't a specific engine. If the command doesn't work, see what the specific version of L9 you are running. Then check your Logos preferences and grab a screenshot of the "internet settings" (like this):

I'll be heading to bed soon, so if I don't hear back from you before then, I will give you another step you could take.
- Go to www.logos.com
- In the upper right corner, click on your profile picture.
- Select "order history"
- Scroll to your purchase of L10 and click on the order number (upper right of order)
- Scroll down to "downloads" and manually download the installer.

JT, I appreciate your help. I didn't order L10, I purchased L9 on Aug 24, 1 day short of the "free upgrade period". L9 automatically updated to L10 on my Mac. The same thing happened to me when I was running L8, i started it up and boom L9. I didn't need to do anything. Maybe i am misunderstanding. I thought that it was simply a base software update with a new skin and some new features. Thannks again, sleep well. I will call tomorrow morning.
Blessings

The software is free, but when a major new release comes out, it is only availble to certain users for a window of time. Users who purchase a new package and users who have a "faithlife connect" subscription get the new engine. Other users will have to wait until sometime in the new year.

I am not quite sure what you mean by this. I do know that there is a window of time where users make a purchase will have the opportunity to get an update... I don't know the rules on that.
I will call tomorrow morning.
You may have to do so. I don't know if they have anyone on the weekends... but perhaps because of the launch they will?
Good luck !

One last thing... If you have a "download between" setting, it is my understanding that the update now command will only work during that time. If you have a brief window and your computer sleeps or loses internet, it will also not update. You might want to explore that.
