I keep getting index/preparing (task menu and screen) notice at L4 launch but it only last for a minute or so and then goes away. It doesn't seem to actually index. I have tried to trash the index db, allowed the new index to be built, but it still does it. Reproducible with "sign-in" and without.
Do these consecutive logs say why?

James Brown: Thought I would upload some logs for this issue.
Thought I would upload some logs for this issue.
L4 thinks there are download jobs but the Indexer finds nothing and finishes quickly!
I'd like you to delete:-
These are all in the hidden folder C:\Users\Jim Brown LPC\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\sxnf3rvd.xva
Finally start L4 and post both Logos4 log files to the forum.
Attempted the above and the notification is shorter (about half the previous time). Newer logs below

Having the same problem here. I am not beta testing and i have followed Dave's suggestion above.
Ted
It's a common recurrence that 4.0b needs to update some index-related databases. Continue normal operation and the need eventually disappears.
This is true in my case.
Ted, I haven't come across your thread yet - so hang on.
