Word count in highlighted portion in a resource

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post this, but I'll take a chance.

Is there a way to do a word count in a highlighted portion of a resource?

If, I wanted to see how many words in a paragraph or so, is there a way to do that? Apart from counting them myself.

Ok, thanks. It would be nice to be able to do this. I just got the 2nd edition of a resource and wanted to see what the differences are between both. Not a big deal. Thought I'd ask.

As far as I know, there is not a built in way to do this. Your best bet is to copy and paste into a third party app (i.e. Word).
