Will Logos be updated for iPad OS 16 to be closer to desktop app?

With all the hype surrounding iPad OS 16 being closer to desktop capabilities (and especially since the newest iPad models have M1 chips in them), I was wondering if Logos will make the iPad version closer to the desktop app. Will this be the case, or will it remain more of a "mobile" app?

Interesting question, but speculative answers.  Faithlife is a competitive business (mum's the word).

I'd assume their direction would largely follow user-statistics (how do people use the mobiles), how's that relate to revenue (nothing's free), and business strategy fit.

My impression is that they're spread thin. Multiple platforms, and the pressure to produce more, more.  I'd assume the more, more has to eventually relate to more, more customers, which likely need less, less (and easier, easier).

In all liklihood, for the forseeable future, the iPad version of Logos will be a slightly modified version of what you have on your phone. I will cite three reasons for my answer:

    1. Despite the hardware improving, an iPad still does not equal the demands Logos would place upon it as does a computer.
    2. The iPad is designed for touch imput; Logos is not. Yes you can add a keyboard and mouse; no most users do not do so.
    3. The cost of designing a more full featured iPad app would be cost prohibitive... especially when you consider that Android users would want the same thing too.

Excellent point. I was wondering if an M1 would be worth it ... my Mini 4 is just so .... unexciting.

There is currently no compelling Logos reason to get an Apple Silicon iPad... and users should not be under the impression that there will be when making a purchasing decision. If there becomes a compelling reason, chances are it would be utilizing a device yet un-released.

I just pre-ordered a new iPad. Not thrilled with the price increase, but still half the price of a pro. Don't get me wrong: I'd love a Pro... but can't justify it. I hand my devices down to my boys and my wife just asked to be included in the assembly line, hence the need for a new device. Thankfully the oldest device is still in good condition and should last at least until next year.

This would be awesome, its what some of us are waiting for. Logos have to know that there are many costumer that only uses IPadOS pro models to work (my case) and we want to have a better experience when studying the word on our devices maybe it wont be posible to have a full experience like desktop app but to get us a bit closer to it at least.
