Translate text in footnotes?
The new Translate feature is great, but I can't seem to get it to translate text in footnotes. It is often in footnotes where I often find untranslated Latin, German, and other languages which I would certainly like to read. Is there a way to translate the footnote text that I haven't figured out? Or will this feature be improved to include this capability in the future?

If you select text in the footnote, it will be translated.

I have been trying to do that. I've highlighted the paragraph, right-clicked, and selected "Translate," and the Translate window appears, but it reverts back to the main text.
However, I did just open the Translate window and then opened the footnote and selected the text, and it worked.

Not to hijack this post but I would like to know if this is accessible in Logos 9.

No. This is a feature that was introduced in Logos 10.

I can't get this to work - got some Latin footnotes I'm keen to translate. Anyone have an order of operations I can repeat to prompt the translator to start working on the footnotes?
Sorry, I'm sure it worked in October, but somehow I can't get it to work today in Logos 27.0.14 I tried the document and footnote you showed, but also other books. Maybe that doesn't work because Logos now puts a temporary sideline marker along the text that is currently translated (not sure when this was introduced), which wouldn't work in footnotes.

I'm sure this used to work as well. Now when I select text in a footnote it won't translate. That should be changed since the footnotes are usually where a lot of the untranslated Latin and German are. [:(]

I'm coming late to this problem. I posted a request for a fix at feedback.logos.com and later saw that Mary-Ellen already posted the same request. I notice there are 'vote' buttons to the left of the post. I suggest users go there and increase the vote count in order to recover this feature. Glad for Google in the interim.
