How do I exclude Apocryphal literature?
I'm getting sick of every Bible search returning apocryphal results. I simply don't want to see Sirach or the Wisdom of Solomon, etc. in my Bible searches. It's getting to the point where I don't like doing a search because I have to sift through so many non-Biblical references. (I realize some people consider them "Biblical" but I don't)
If I can't exclude them can I somehow remove them?

Hi Micah - and welcome to the forums
You shouldn’t be seeing apocryphal results - unless:
- You are looking in the Fuzzy Search results section
- You are using a Bible which includes apocryphal books
Are either of those the case?

It's the fuzzy search - sorry I should have been more specific. I find the fuzzy search very useful but I guess it ignores all constraints like specific Bibles. . I'd really like to remove the apocryphal books from the Bibles that have them.

Yes, I’m afraid it does ignore passage constraints.
This is a long-standing issue which has been acknowledged as a bug as per https://community.logos.com/forums/p/148370/922009.aspx#922009 but it has been this way for a long time.
I do hope it gets resolved.

Well, at least there's an explanation. Every word in the English language seem to have a fuzzy connection to Sirach. lol

As do I. This is why I don't use the fuzzy search right now. I think I've only use it once or twice. Would like to start experimenting, but also want accurate search results.
Could FL comment on when a fix for this bug might get some traction?

Although it looks as though there is still a different bug in that the Fuzzy view won''t scroll - I'll flag that separately

It is reasonable to not expect Apocryphal results when searching Bibles w/o it, but when searching a Bible like NRSV, which includes the Apocrypha, there's no reason to expect they won't be included.
I'd really like to remove the apocryphal books from the Bibles that have them.

when searching a Bible like NRSV, which includes the Apocrypha,
they will be included.Edit: unless you restrict the search, e.g. to the New Testament, which will now work in Fuzzy search, too.
