How to Permanently disable the “Find and Connect to your Church” pop up?
Hi
I get this nuisance message in both Android and iOS versions. I click ”No Thanks” every time. I will never use this feature and I’d like to never see this message again.
Is this possible? I can’t find a setting to remove it.
Thanks
Richard

No, it is like the common cold...no vaccine is available to eradicate it.

There is a way. But it's been a long time
- Turn location off for the app (at least ios anyway)
- I thought the FSB had a setting; oddly Verbum never did

In some other thread it was suggested to turn off Church Presentations in Settings..
But that works at random..and is - AFAIK - depending also on the same setting in your other devices.

No, Richard. I tried everything, including deleting everything I'd downloaded to my Android device, uninstalling, reinstalling, and downloading again (as suggested in another thread). Didn't work.
It's annoying to have to deal with this dialog every week, right at the time when I need to use Logos. It's like bad advertising.

The first time I had this problem with L10 (Android) was today. If I select "NO THANKS", it loops back around to ask the same question. In trying to outsmart the app, if I pick "USE MY LOCATION" and then deny the app location privileges, it also loops around to ask the question again. I know this is a bug that goes back a while, but this is the first time it has exhibited this particular behavior.

Thanks ... I already had Location Services turned off on the iPad though. It seems to be rarer on iOS than Android.

It popped up for me this morning. Always annoying.

Thank you for looking into this. Is there an update on the correction for this issue? It is still happening. It seems to be random, sometimes more than once when opening the app.

The ticket was opened almost 2 months ago. Must be a nasty bug that is has not be resolved yet.

I would venture to guess there are tickets that were opened years ago. 2 months seems a relatively short amount of time as Logos bugs go. It likely has more to do with prioritization and availability of developers than how nasty a bug is to fix. They don't just jump on any bugs we report and fix them right away.

Haha. Maybe the most difficult to resolve are those where the will to change is not strong. ;-)

This has been fixed in the latest update that was released this morning. Now, when you tap "No, thanks" in the notification, the notification will not show up again. Thank you for your patience on this!
