AYBC or AYB, which is the difference?

I am extremely disappointed.

Please someone explain to me what is the difference between these resources. When I search my library for AYBC, lists the AYB, Why is this happening? I've already have the second one (in Spanish). I sxpected to get the first one, (by Schawrtz). Thanks for the help.

1 By Schawartz (What I expected): Commentary (Anchor Yale Bible Commentary | AYBC)

2 By Goldstein (I got this, printed, in Spanish): I Maccabees: A New Translation with Introduction and Commentary | AYB)

(I pasted the images, but for any reason desapeared)

The volume by Schwartz on 1 Maccabees is not yet published by Logos. It is available for pre-order. https://www.logos.com/product/229075/1-maccabees-a-new-translation-with-introduction-and-commentary

Did you buy the Anchor Yale Commentary thinking it would have this volume?

More specificity is needed, please. I assume you are describing the commentaries on the Maccabees?

For clarity, AYB & AYBC are essentially the same thing, however, the commentaries (AYBC) are part of the overall AYB series, which also includes the AYB Dictionary (AYBD) and multiple titles in the AYB Reference Collection.

Back to your concern regarding the Maccabees commentaries...Goldstein authored two commentaries: one commentary each for both 1 Macc & 2 Macc, while Schwartz only authored a commentary for 1 Macc.

You seem to be saying you don't have the Schwartz edition but want it and thought you had it, correct? Do you have both Goldstein volumes, 1 & 2?

Yes, they came with "Logos 10 Messianic Jewish Diamond", that I recently acquired.

The ad says "including (...) Anchor Yale Bible Commentary | AYBC (92 vols.), and more." (sic). It seems they use AYB and AYBC indistinctly.

Did you buy the Anchor Yale Commentary thinking it would have this volume?

In Sanish there exist a translation, "Comentario Bíblico San Jerónimo", an old version edited by Raymond E. Brown, Joseph A. Fitzmaer and others. I noted that some volumes are the same AYBC. But now, reviewing, I don't know. For example:

    Spanish edition
    Daniel
    Louis F. HARTMAN, C. SS. R.

    1-2 Macabeos
    NEIL J. MCELENEY, CSP

    Logos edition

    Daniel

Hartman, L. F., & Di Lella, A. A. (2008). The Book of Daniel: a new translation with notes and commentary on chapters 1-9 (Vol. 23). Yale University Press.

    1-2 Maccabees

Goldstein, J. A. (2008). I Maccabees: a new translation with introduction and commentary (Vol. 41). Yale University Press.

Thanks you all for your time. I'd like to understand why AYB and AYBC. BTW I already have the AYBD. Regards.

The St. Jerome Bible Commentary is a completely different thing. Some authors did contribute to both, however.

I'd like to understand why AYB and AYBC.

Two acronyms for the same thing.

The acronym AB is also used for the series. The Y was added when Yale University Press started publishing it instead of Doubleday.

Following on what Mark said, no one has the Schwartz volume on 1 Macc yet...it hasn't been released.

And just to be clear, this volume will cost extra for everyone. It will not be given free to those who have already purchased the set. If you do want it, the best time to order it is now, before it is released when the price will go up.
